The webinar on Introduction to Git was conducted on 29-10-2022 with the aim of providing participants with a comprehensive understanding of Git, a popular version control system. The webinar covered fundamental concepts such as repositories, branches, commits, and merging, enabling participants to grasp the basics of Git workflow. Attended by a diverse group of participants, the webinar successfully fulfilled its objective of introducing Git as a powerful tool for collaborative software development and version control. Overall, the webinar served as a valuable resource for individuals seeking to enhance their knowledge and proficiency in using Git.

The Linux Installation Workshop was held on 22-10-2022 at College of Engineering, Attingal. The workshop aimed to provide participants with hands-on experience in installing a Linux operating system and familiarize them with the installation process, partitioning, and basic system configurations. Participants from various technical backgrounds attended the workshop, which lasted for 4 Hours. The workshop successfully achieved its objectives of educating participants about Linux, guiding them through the installation process, explaining disk partitioning, and introducing basic system configurations.

Blockquer is a workshop based on the implementation of blockchain held on 12th &13th November 2022 at SPDK hall, College of Engineering, Attingal. Educators: Mr Abhilash Sreedharan Ms Anjali K K Organizers: ISTE, college of engineering, Attingal & Foss cell Number of attendees:20 Total expence:8000 BLOCKQUER was a 2-day workshop that dealt with the implementation of blockchain conducted jointly by FOSS Cell &ISTE Student Chapter, College of Engineering, Attingal. The event was scheduled on 12th &13th November and was handled by Mr Abhilash Sreedharan and Ms Anjali K K(Blockchain educators).The event was conducted at SDPK Lab, College of Engineering, Attingal. A total of 20 Students participated in the event .The focal point of the event was in providing students with the core concepts in implementing blockchain and introducing solidity programming. The first day of the event commenced at 9 AM. The morning session was about the basics of blockchain technology. Students got an overall idea about the concept . The workshop was paused for lunch at 1 PM and resumed at 2PM. Further the students had a hands-on session on how to set up a network. Day 1 wound up by 4 PM. Day 2 of the event started sharply by 9 AM as soon as the students and tutors arrived. Morning session was the continuation of previous day’s topic. Then held a brainstorming session on projects using blockchain. The slot for lunchbreak remained the same as day1. The afternoon session was about how to test a program using Ganache and to write smart contracts . The session was extended till 5 PM as the tutors provided further guidance to final year students who were currently designing their final year project. The event ended up after the photo session by 5:15 PM.
